I went with the classic: chicken and lamb over rice. A staple I’ve had from countless spots — from the legendary NYC halal carts to Shah’s to The Halal Guys. And I’ve got to say, Halal Boyz stands out in a big way. The lamb is solid, flavorful, and juicy, but the chicken is where things go from great to incredible. Freshly shaved off a rotating spit shawarma-style, it’s unbelievably tender and packed with flavor in every bite. You can taste the difference. Honestly, this might be the best combo over rice I’ve ever had. I’m genuinely excited to see where Halal Boyz goes from here. Every great spot starts somewhere — and if this gas station location is just the beginning, big things are ahead.
